Adisyn's first Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas!!

We are so excited to have a little one this year for Christmas. It makes the holidays that much more exciting even though Adisyn has no clue whats going on. Its been fun dressing her up in holiday stuff all week. She had a party at daycare yesterday and Santa came and brought Adisyn a snail she can learn to crawl with, Thanks Santa we dont need her crawling quit yet.... She just stared at Santa it was so cute, we got pictures so I will post all of them after the Holidays. Next year there will be pictures of her screaming at Santa I am sure..

As we reflect on the year 2010. We have to admit it was one of the best years of our lives. Being blessed with miss Adisyn has been one of the best gifts. She has made us so happy. We love everything about her, even when she wakes us up a couple times a night. She makes us laugh on a daily basis. We love to see her smile and giggle. She is such a happy baby. We can't imagine life without her now. As of today she is 5 months old. Where did that 5 months go? Growing up way to fast already. We love being parents to this precious little girl. We couldn't ask for anything more, a WONDERFUL, HEALTHY family, GOOD jobs, and LOVE that binds us together and gets us through each day. We are so lucky and blessed!!!!

We are really going to miss McPapa and Nonna this Christmas, but thank goodness for Skype so that way we can see them on Christmas day. We will miss any family we don't get to see over the Holidays. Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy New Year!! We wish you all the best in 2011.

Photo sessions with Adisyn

Our first "live" Christmas Tree

I grew up having only "fake" Christmas trees, but Moe grew up with the tradition of cutting one down every year as a family. So we made a compromise... once we had a child we could start the tradition of going to pick out a "live" Christmas tree. Moe held me to my promise since this is our first Christmas with a child. So we got our first REAL tree.... and I LOVE it.. Our house smells good and the tree looks beautiful!!!! This is going to be an awesome Christmas having Adisyn. I can't wait to start our own family traditions in the years to come.

Trip to Chicago

Some of you may already know that we had to take an unexpected trip to Chicago because grandma Mulhall passed away on Nov. 12th. She will truly be missed and I am so sad that she didn't get to meet her newest great-grandchild...Adisyn. Grandma would have been so proud of her new addition to the family because Adisyn has one of grandma's traits...redish hair!!!! We will be sure to tell Adisyn all about her one day. We took Adisyn on her first rode trip...8 hours in the car. She was so good on the trip. She didn't make a peep. She played, watched Finding Nemo, and slept, and not to mention the blowout she had on the way home.. She really stunk up the car:( Glad Adisyn finally got to meet the family in Chicago but so sad it was under these sad circumstances. We love you Gram and know you will be watching down on us everyday:)Gramps and Me (I just love this guy:) )

Adisyn's first taste of cereal

Adisyn did so good with her cereal. She of course pushed most of it out with her tongue but it will take a few weeks for her to get the hang of it. Below is a video of her eating. It is pretty funny to watch. She kept moving her tongue. We will do this till she gets the hang of it and then we get to add veggies to the menu, yummmmm!!!!

My first time in the Bumbo chair

Now that she can hold her head up on her own we figured we would try out the Bumbo chair. She seems to like it. She is getting to be a "big girl."

Adisyn is 16 Weeks Old

WOW.... has the time flown by. Adisyn had her 4 month check-up on Fri. She is doing great. Right on schedule. She now weighs 13.5 pounds (75th percentile for weight) and is 23.5 inches long (50th percentile for height). She cried harder and longer with her shots this time. Poor thing had no idea what was coming. She is smiling, giggling, grabbing toys and putting them to her mouth, can lift her head up when on stomach, can hold her head up on her own, and can bare her weight on her legs. She loves standing in your lap now, she thinks she is big stuff:) She sleeps through the night sometimes. We go through a period where she does great and then one night she decided she wants up to eat every 3 hours, but we are getting way more sleep now and life is getting easier in the Mulhall household. We love having her around. She makes us laugh every day. The Dr. gave us the ok to start rice cereal so I will post pictures and the experience with that. She is eating on average 6 oz. every 4 hours. She is a healthy girl and we couldn't ask for more!!!

Moe Ran His First Half Marathon

I am so proud of my honey. He worked so hard for this. He ran it in 1 hour 48 min. If you don't want to do the math that is a little over 8 minute miles. I was pretty amazed considering he was training for this all while working, going to school, and taking care of a newborn. That is what I call dedication. He would come home from work (which he gets up around 4am) and run for 1-2 hours every other day and then shower and go to class till 9ish. He was so exhausted esp when you have a newborn getting up every 3 hours to eat.Even though he wasn't always getting up with her, he couldn't help but hear her and wake up every time we did. He is a trooper. I couldn't help but get emotional when he passed by Adisyn and I and went across that finish line. I am so proud of him for putting his mind to something and accomplishing it. Not only can he say he ran a half marathon but he can say he ran it in less than 2 hours. My husband is so amazing to me. He is someone I am so proud to call my husband and a wonderful father to our beautiful daughter. Good work Honey you are truly AMAZING!! You can do anything you put your mind to. I love you!!!The group that ran.
